STAPLES PRINT SOLUTIONS - Print Label Production Manager

This position is accountable for directing the human and physical resources of the production area to produce quality labels to customer specifications in a timely and cost effective manner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Select and train high quality employees to provide a resource for future growth.
2. Meet production goals by attaining maximum productivity of assigned resources through increased efficiencies and reduced downtime and waste.
3. Reduce returned goods and spoilages due to manufacturing errors through continued emphasis of problem areas and education of operators.
4. Implement cost reduction programs that enhance competitive posture in the marketplace.
5. Promote programs to increase employee morale and productivity.
6. Work closely with all department personnel to assure effective preventive maintenance programs, machine care training and proper scheduling of equipment repairs for minimal disruption of working schedules.
7. Promote and maintain a safe work environment through proper safety education and inspection of the work area.
8. Implement and support required record keeping and reporting procedures to ensure that the division is operating in accordance with applicable EPA, OSHA and other agency requirements in the areas of employee safety, emergency planning, community right-to-know, hazardous waste disposal, chemical storage, etc.
9. Establish and maintain communication and information exchange with production employees on a regular basis.
10. Assist Marketing and Manufacturing Services Departments in the development of new capabilities and/or products.

Job:  Quality Assurance

 Make a Difference IV&V Sr. Electrician / Cabling (San Antonio, TX)TS/SCI Clearance with Poly REQUIRED* Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the US government. Our landmark planning, environmental, engineering, construction, and facility operation programs have supported federally-funded chemical weapons demilitarization, military installations and ranges, space exploration, missile defense, aviation, and sustainability programs. Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters. Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) - Sr. Electrician/Cabling Initially, this position will require the incumbent to work on, the verification and validation of the installation and maintenance of electrical cabling and systems e.g. 480 v AC down to 120 v AC down to mili-volt instrumentation and controls systems.  Inspect and monitor design and installation of low voltage and medium voltage building electrical systems, insuring they conform to contract requirements, code and industry standards and practices.  Review construction drawings and other documents to ensure that they comply with Program and Project objectives.  Observe ongoing work in progress and provide technical assistance, as requested . Implement and follow the Quality Assurance Program procedures. Observe punch list activities and Quality Control Testing.  Review Design-Builders Quality Control Reports for accuracy and completeness.  The ability to successfully interface with the customer and other technician team members is a must. This position will be filled if Parsons is successful in winning the contract. Contingent offers may be made in anticipation of Award which is projected for early Feb/March 2010.
